Iran’s Missile Strikes Leave Two Dead and Northern Israel in Ruins

Northern Israel endured a devastating wave of Iranian missile strikes on Saturday night, killing at least two people and injuring several others. The attacks caused widespread destruction in towns across the Galilee region, prompting an immediate emergency response. Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency service, confirmed the death of a woman in her 20s in Tamra, located in the western Galilee.

Eight fire and rescue teams from the Northern District were dispatched to multiple strike sites. One of the most serious incidents involved a four-story residential building where four women were trapped. Despite valiant rescue efforts, two of the women died from their injuries, while the others were safely evacuated from the damaged structure.

Sergeant Yair Elkayim, the commander of the Northern District, described the destruction as immense, with part of the building’s top floor collapsing entirely. Emergency teams have been working non-stop to search for more possible victims trapped in the rubble. The full extent of the structural damage is still being assessed as rescue crews continue operations.

In a separate incident, a person in critical condition was pulled from the same Galilee building, further emphasizing the impact of the strikes. The Israel Fire and Rescue Services also reported ongoing efforts to identify additional missile impact sites in nearby areas. Their operations include search and rescue missions and fire suppression.

The strikes were part of a broader military exchange between Israel and Iran, with missiles lighting up the sky throughout the night. The growing conflict between the two nations has escalated in recent days, leaving civilians in northern Israel exposed to direct attacks and triggering widespread fear and anxiety.

In the Lower Galilee, three firefighting crews responded to a fire that engulfed an agricultural building, believed to have been caused by a missile. Fires also erupted in open spaces and neighborhoods in both northern and coastal districts. Teams are working to contain these blazes and prevent them from spreading to additional homes and properties.

The Israel Fire and Rescue hotline received an overwhelming number of calls reporting damage, fire, and injuries. Several homes have been destroyed or severely damaged, leaving residents in shock. With the threat of further attacks looming, emergency services remain on high alert, and the region braces for more potential violence.
